| The Wide Open Spaces of God (excerpt from introduction) "There are times in our lives when we know we can’t continue living in the same small, familiar, and cramped way. From deep within we feel the restless longing to move out toward a larger, more spacious landscape—one that does not constrict our soul and leave us for dead. The Wide Open Spaces of God is an invitation to open up our lives to a bigger God and a bigger life. It is a summons toward a more expansive life, one that is characterized by a keen awareness and responsiveness to God’s presence and grace embedded in the terrain of our personal journey. Through the varied terrain of life—its peaks and valleys, twists and turns—we have the opportunity to encounter God and discover who he created us to be. We learn that all of life is the context through which God shows up and reveals himself and transforms us through the very nature of life’s contours." Beth Booram offers an invitation to explore the wide open spaces of God through her book, as well as through teaching the material as a course, in conference messages or during a retreat. Each venue affords the participants the opportunity to process this vital message with others. Using the metaphor of landscapes, they will learn new ways to frame their own life story and discover God's involvement in the midst. Follow this link (excerpts from chapters of The Wide Open Spaces of God) for a fuller description of each landscape message.
